Hello Simcoe is a local moving and Welcome Home experience designed to help people feel more comfortable in their new community — while helping great local businesses and new neighbours find each other. We’re not a big corporation trying to understand Simcoe from somewhere else. We live here too.
HOW THIS STARTED
Two sisters. One hometown. A lot of ideas.
Hello Simcoe is run by sisters Yvonne and Niki. We grew up in Barrie, Ontario, and this is still home for us. Our kids go to school here. We own businesses here. We use the local trades, go to the local gyms, shop at the local businesses and eat at the local restaurants. And yes — we’re always looking for another great place to eat. Hint, hint. Over the years, we started noticing how many people were moving into Barrie and Simcoe County from somewhere else. A new house is exciting. But a new community can take a while to feel like home.

THE IDEA
What if moving here came with a friendly local Hello?
We want to help make the first weeks and months in a new community easier, friendlier and a little more fun. At the same time, we want to help the independent businesses that make Simcoe special meet the new residents who are looking for exactly what they do.
Help new neighbours feel at home. Help great local businesses meet the people who need them. That’s really the whole idea.
WE GET BOTH SIDES
We’re small business owners too.
We’ve spent years building businesses, hiring teams, serving customers and figuring out how to get the phone to ring. We know what it feels like to spend money on marketing and wonder what actually worked. And we know how valuable a genuinely good referral can be. That’s a big part of why we’re building Hello Simcoe differently.
Good local businesses need good customers. New neighbours need good local businesses. We want to help them find each other.
LOCAL REALLY MEANS LOCAL
We’re not studying Simcoe. We’re living in it.
Our families are here. Our businesses are here. Our kids go to school here. We drive these roads. We use these contractors. We go to the local gyms. We shop here. We sit on the patios. We order the pizza. And local restaurant owners — we are accepting recommendations. 😉
When Hello Simcoe introduces someone to a local business, we want it to feel like the kind of recommendation you’d give a new neighbour.
HOW WE’RE BUILDING IT

Hello Simcoe is the first local community experience from First Hello Canada. We have bigger plans, but we’re deliberately starting here — learning what newcomers actually find helpful, what local businesses value and what creates genuine connections before expanding anywhere else.
REAL PEOPLE — There should always be real people behind Hello Simcoe.
LOCAL FIRST — The community experience comes before scale.
USEFUL BEFORE PROMOTIONAL — If it doesn’t make settling in better, it probably doesn’t belong.
Technology works behind the scenes. The experience should still feel human.
